If hope they won't keep getting longer each episode. Reading too many Alan Moore interviews these days. There's one where he explains he once planned a 160-page graphic novel in his early twenties, for him to draw himself, and then went something like "Fuck this, I'll never finish this, I'm just wasting time on it to keep myself from facing up to the necessity of doing actual feasible paying work." That hurt, but I'm committed a little further than he was when he dropped his putative long book. And the feasible paying work is there to keep me fed. # I have just found out that distributor Diamond charges 3% more for reorders than initial orders, effectively penalizing the stores that want more copies of books that sold unexpectedly well. Like I hope to various Gods* ONE BLOOD YEAR: FALL will. As I've sent comp copies of FALL to over 78 stores practically begging for reorders and am still going for more, I thank myself for giving Diamond that extra discount at the start, which sort of evens this out. I'm told not to expect news from any other distributors for 6 months.
